I've noticed that Gore is not just a theme or tool used ot make pastas scarier, but more of an artistic aesthetic used. I don't know why but images and imagery that portrays blood/organs is very fascinating. Gore almost appeals to me as an art style, as it is used in various art blogs across the internet, and has been portrayed in art for thousands of years.

My friends and I have talked about how gore appeals to us aesthetically a few times in real life, but we can't really figure out why. Is it because it's not seen in life too much? Does the presence of blood or gore just trigger in some odd part of our mind that strangely appeals to the idea of seeing human suffering?

Anyways, that's just my thoughts on gore in general, not sure if anyone else really feels this way about it too.
