I was going to go on a rant about how the last few PotM winners haven't been (in my opinion) very good. However, I've decided to instead simply try another outlet to at least get people to read a story currently up for that honor: The Long List by HumboldtLycanthrope.
Originally written for (and ultimately winning) Blacknumber's Freestyle Contest this story is an example of everything that a good horror short should be. If you've read any of Humboldt's stuff, you'll know a bit about what to expect; he tends to deal with things in a strongly visceral way that actually make you feel something deep down in your gut. His characters are ugly, and he presents them that way, warts and all. They feel REAL. I currently have two stories listed…Read more >
First off, thanks again to everyone who made it over to creepypasta.com to rate my story A Bad Night. It turns out they accepted another one of my stories, The Lonely Stars, which will be active tomorrow. Even cooler, they've agreed to include the awesome narration performed by fellow wiki contributor Sir Ayes. If you have the time to head over and give it a rating, I'd surely appreciate it!

Greetings, fellow creepy connoisseurs,
A story I originally wrote for Blacknumber's Freestyle Competition, titled A Bad Night, is going to be showcased on creepypasta.com tomorrow, April 5th. If you haven't been to that site before, they basically pick one story a day to highlight and readers can rate the stories on a 1 to 10 scale. If anyone has the time to go over there tomorrow (or anytime after that...the story stays on the site) and give it a rating, I would certainly be appreciative. Thanks in advance!
Edit: The story is active here. Please swing by if you have the chance!
Update: Holding steady between 7.9 and 8.0, better than I hoped! Special thanks to everybody who went over and voted!Read more >
How's it going, fellow creeps? I just wanted to remind everyone to vote for the Pasta of the Month...polls are open now! I'd like to take the opportunity to promote my own story that's up for the title The Wicker House. I think it's pretty good and apparently HumboldtLycanthrope thought so too since he nominated it...hopefully you'll read it and agree with us! Either way, I'd ask for constructive feedback, and of course encourage everyone to vote for the pasta they feel truly deserves the recognition. Thanks for reading!Read more >
So, this past weekend I finally managed to finish my story The Soldier. It's been a long time in coming. As I mentioned in a previous blog post I actually started writing this thing over four years ago before pulling it out and dusting it off this past summer. I'm actually pretty proud of it. Flying in the face of everything that anyone who knows anything about writing says, I didn't do a whole lot of story planning.
Now normally this wouldn't be too much of an issue. I could write something, then go back and change it as necessary if I didn't like how something was turning out or found myself written into an inescapable corner. However, I published the first five sections of the story before the rest of it was completely done. I had…Read more >
