Almost finished reading "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski. I can't believe this book was out for as long as it has been and I had never heard of it up until a month ago. It combines elements of the surreal (being the house itself featured in a documentary which might or might not exist) along with the progressive maddening of the guy who uncovers the mystery. If you haven't read it, be warned. It really isn't like any horror fiction you have read before. HIGHLY recommended. Also, the author's sister is the musician known as "Poe". I saw her open for Depeche Mode the year the book came out. Reach out. Touch face.
