Should I stick with b & w illustrations for a first-time graphic novel? What if the beginning ones are in color, should I provide a reasonable explanation of why the story suddenly shifts to b & maybe there was a dimensional shift into a parallel film noir universe or there's a curse that leaches away all the cover? Are there even examples of graphic novels where this sudden color change happens?
