I just read about the blame on this site from that highlighted forum post and on the article posted up. That's... sad. But horror doesn't cause bad things to happen, it just gives bad things creative ideas. If you read the second to last chapter of Stephen King's Danse Macabre, you'd know what I mean. I recommend that book, too; it may help a lot with your creative horror stories.

I know crazy things like that stabbing happen every day... and it's hard to imagine that so many people are sociopathic or just crazy. But I guess this site is all about "exposing the werewolf," if I may be so metaphoric, and bringing out the bad before it can do any major harm. Sort of like, "Check yo'self before you wreck yo'self," except you might wreck everybody else, too. Or maybe horror shows us the monster we need to fight to preserve ourselves. And, sometimes, that monster is, well, you. You can take the same theory when it comes to driving and apply it to life: Expect that everyone is out to kill you; whether it's because they make a mistake, because they mean it, or because the conditions are just right to go wrong, expect to die.

But I just got way out of the ball field. I just wanted to say that I will be posting up my story Serenity in White in the next few days. I've got most of it done and an idea of how I want it to end, I just need to write in a few more things.

Happy Hauntings!
