I just realized
that my story
fucking made no sense.
How in the world could Amelia's sister remembered all of Amelia's journal entries word for word IF SHE FUCKING BURNED IT?!?!?!??
God dammit. I'm going to have to go and rewrite a couple of parts. I know I should have posted it in the Writer's Workshop, but it was just too long and I figured nobody would read it.
I also think that a part that made no sense was that she never finished high school yet she wrote like, well, me. But people can be smart and not finish school. So I guess that's okay. Maybe she didn't finish for family reasons, but she was really good at school. Yeah.
I'm off to correct my stupid story.Read more >
I've made my decision: I will work hard on this new story I'm going to write. It's an old story I came up with when I was in middle school, but I love the idea. It's going to take a lot of editing to make it good, though. Wish me luck!Read more >
This site is so cool! I dunno', I just wanted to say that I love all the rules on here because you guys are trying to turn horror from a cheap money-maker to an awesome art form!!!! Horror totally is an art form, and it should be treated as such!!Read more >
I posted Serenity in White. It's not that scary, to be honest. I focused more on the story. I could have worked my little heart out to make this story perfect, but.... well... There was just too much more to do. I'm not that good a writer, guys. I can't do everything and make it all perfect, especially at the stage I'm in. It's just too much work. While I enjoy and love my creative projects, working on them for days and weeks... I just don't want to do that right now. I want to spit out som…Read more >
I just read about the blame on this site from that highlighted forum post and on the article posted up. That's... sad. But horror doesn't cause bad things to happen, it just gives bad things creative ideas. If you read the second to last chapter of Stephen King's Danse Macabre, you'd know what I mean. I recommend that book, too; it may help a lot with your creative horror stories.
I know crazy things like that stabbing happen every day... and it's hard to imagine that so many people are sociopathic or just crazy. But I guess this site is all about "exposing the werewolf," if I may be so metaphoric, and bringing out the bad before it can do any major harm. Sort of like, "Check yo'self before you wreck yo'self," except you might wreck everybo…Read more >
