I have just completed the first scene of the first act to my modern adaption of Dante's Inferno. In my previous blog post, I mentioned that my play will be using the same structure of Hell as described in the Divine Comedy but it will feature souls of people form more recent times (eg. famous serial killers, corrupt politicians, general 'bad guys' etc...).
The people who are visiting Hell are a group of college students who go to a forest to make a horror movie for a course assignment. Basically, they go to Hell and video tape their journey. I plan on finishing the first part of the play by the end of this year. Most likely, I'll have to divide the play into sequels because of all the levels.
I'd like some feedback on my idea. Does this sound like an interesting plot? I'd also like some suggestions as well.
Thanks for reading!
