A lot of you may not know this, but I have a tendency to post a story on this wiki once a week, typically every Sunday. (How these stories escape the keen eyes of quality standards each time has yet to be determined.)
I will not be uploading a new story this week. Many of you already know of the tragedy that occurred in Waukesha, Wisconsin this past week so I am not going to rehash the events for you. The attack has impacted the creepypasta community profoundly. I have noticed that in times of tragedy people ask questions. They try to understand “How this could have happened?” I feel this is an important question, but there is another question that doesn’t get asked as much as it should be that is sometimes lost in the clamor and chaos. That question is, “What can we do to help?”
Here is the donation page: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/waukesha-creepypasta-bring-her-back/186588. Remember that even what you would consider a small donation can make a massive difference in someone’s life.
If you find that you are unable to make any donations due to financial situations, know that the family has asked for “homemade hearts made of paper, fabric, and felted wool that are purple in color and infused with prayers, love, and light.” These hearts can be sent to: Hearts for Healing, P.O. Box 407, Waukesha, WI, 53187-0407
I will try and wrap this up by saying, there is a lot we can do to show our support and that even the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact in someone’s life.
