I recently read a Creepypasta called "Clown Dogs." It's actually pretty good, and I do recommend it. However, there is something in it that bothers me: One of the main characters, who is a really, really shallow teen girl, is able to convincingly Photoshop a diffferent girl's head onto rather...lewd pictures.
Now, as someone who knows a thing or two about Photoshop, and took a damn class on it, I'm going to say that it's not very easy to do such a thing. For one thing, unless the person whose head you're Photoshopping is in front of a green screen-like background, it's hard to get just the head or other body part. Also, you have get things like values and coloration right, make sure the picture is scaled right, and Photoshop out the body part you're replacing. It's actually kind of a pain.
Now, this post isn't me trying to egg on "Clown Dogs"; like I said, it's pretty good. Go read it. I'll wait. You're done? Good. Anyway, I'm just annoyed at things that portray Photoshop as easy to use, especially by shallow girls looking to be mean to a nerdy girl or something. As someone who can use Photoshop and is proficient in it, I will say that it's a pain in the ass to do stuff like that. So the idea that very shallow girls can do that stretches believability. Now, if you really need to use such a thing as a plot device, have a nerdy girl or someone similar do the Photoshopping. That, I can believe a bit more.
Also, if you haven't already, read "Clown Dogs."
