Not very long ago, I wrote a story called "Powerless." It's one of my least popular stories (with my other two, "The Decision" and "Amara" still being commented on, but with rather different types of comments), but it is still one I'm proud of, if only for the idea behind, which involves a darker take on superheroes.
Speaking of superheroes, NBC is going to start airing a show called Powerless. It's based in the DC universe, and will be a workplace comedy a la The Office that follows the lives of folks who are trying to find their own powers while working at some insurance company. I personally like the idea since it's a rather unique take on superheroes and seems ripe with comedic potential. That being said, I find it funnier that it took the name of my story, which is rather dark. Go figure.
Usually I'd have a whole rant to go along with this, since it involves superheroes and bitching about superhero stuff is kind of my thing, but I don't have much to say. I like the idea, and consider it a funny coincidence that my story and this series have the same name.
I mean, it's not like this entire thing is a bit of self-advertisement, right?
