creep·y /ˈkrēpē/

   1. causing an unpleasant feeling of fear or unease

So the most frequent criticism that's leveled towards my work is that it's not very creepy. When writing, I'll start off with a creepy sounding idea, and somehow by the time I'm done, it's veered out into some other zone entirely. While my stories DO have creepy elements, I've been given the "well-written but not creepy" tag more times than I care to admit. So I ask you, fine reader, what types of things do you consider creepy? What keeps you awake at night? What makes you pee your pants in terror? What makes you run and find Mama because you need a hug after what you've just read?

Let me know. "Creepy" Thomas O. is listening. :)
