Let me preface this by saying that this project involves me in some way, and thus isn't just me using my position or power to help my friends out; I have been helping them bug test this game.
Greetings everyone! I know I usually don't write blog posts, but I have something interesting I would like to share with you all today. My good friend and one of our admin, Psychobilly2422, as you may or may not know was one of the original devs on the game Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion. Today, on Steam Greenlight, you might have noticed something interesting: Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation.
This is a from-the-ground-up remake of the original game in Unity (the original version was made in GameMaker), which means everything was recoded and rebuilt using Unity rather than a simple re-skin of the existing game with HD/3D textures.
It is with this version that Mac and Linux will finally be able to be supported (blame GameMaker), and will even include VR support. It will be a paid product, unlike the original which was free, but in turn will include Endless Mode and all of the DLC from the original.
Why am I posting about this? Because, not only do I like helping my friends out, but I have been helping to bug test this game along the way and I really, really want to see this thing get greenlit. It's a better, more stable version of the original, and the devs have poured a lot of time and energy into making this thing.
You definitely don't have to go vote for it, but it would be much appreciated if you did. Stay spooky, y'all.
