I like this site.
And I'm tired of it.
The point of this wiki is to be "a database of various Creepypasta", not a specialist semi-horror fiction site. We don't have to try to be DeviantArt or act like every story on here has to be published. We just have to make sure that it is remotely connected with the horror genre, and that the grammar, spelling and layout is fine, that's it.
We have instead declared ourselves to be 'saviours of Creepypasta', fighting against the hoards of bad rip offs and 'unoriginal content', like we are some kind of virtual-fiction knights templar. We're not. We are a wiki that aims to collect a derivative of a 4Chan meme, we started off as an /x/ database more or less.
"The goal is to have a fairly well stocked library of Creepypasta, including very obscure and rarely posted, to user created original content."
That is on the front page right now, the idea was that the common cookie cutter creepypasta was the main focus, with orginal content and obscure pasta being the secondary focus of the site.
You say spinoffs, rehashes, or sequels are not orginal content and the lack of orginal content is rotting the site from within; OC being the main support of the wiki.
No it isn't.
The purpose of this site is to keep a libaray of all Creepypasta, that is it. That front page sums up what the whole point of this place is, and should be. You don't have to read and review every book in a library, likewise, you don't have to read every story on here. It is fine and dandy for really nice pieces of work to be posted on here, but it isn't the overall point of this place.
Also, a note to the other admins. Keep in mind that while we run this site and the users here are guests, we need them to keep coming back, so we have a site to run. We should act professionally, but not to the point of pretentiousness, we definitely do not insult them at any time and we keep in mind that some users may not be aware of some of the polices and procedures of this site, give them the benefit of the doubt unless it is clear they are not going to listen to you. I am not trying to tell you some of the stuff you are already aware of, but try to grow a thicker skin, please.
