So, I've been a little quiet lately because my room mates drug addict brother thought that it might be entertaining to break my computer - strange I know. I didn't really find it funny. I've also been working some insane hours, not that I'm complaining. It seems I am the only one who wants to go to work, so therefore when somebody doesn't want to go in to work then it falls to me to cover them. Oh well, more money in my pocket...
Anyway I've just settled in to a new house and got myself a new computer (for now) so I guess you can say I'm going to be online alot more from now on. I just thought I'd let you all know.
P.S. Just kidding, I'm leaving the wiki forever. Goodbye.Read more >
This will be my final contribution to the wiki.
You may have realized that I have not been very active on the site lately. There are a number of reasons for this, but the main reason would have to be the fact that the community has become unbearable lately.
I know there are some cool users out there trying their hardest to put in some good work. Unfortunately, alot of these stories are knocked back by what seem to be hypocritical and insanely high quality standards. For average writers, the struggle of creating a 'masterpiece' is just that - a struggle. Unfortunately there are only a few people active on the writers workshop, which means that those who want to improve are relying on the word of one user to improve. And the harsh comments tha…Read more >
So, there was recently a blog post in which everybody was discussing their favorite films. That inspired me to create this blog post so we could all discuss our favorite television series. For the sake of fairness, let's strictly keep documentaries and reality TV out of here otherwise all we will see is David Attenborough. So without further ado, here are my favorite TV shows, in no particular order.
"What is Banshee?" you may be asking yourself. Well, I'm glad you asked. Banshee is a criminally underrated show that is consistently given bad reviews by people who only watch Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, and believe everything else to be average at best.
Banshee follows and ex-con who assumes the identity of a Sheriff, where he is able to…

Yes, this is a dark topic; but we are on a horror-based website.
So, I am here today to ask you all a question. That is, what is the best way to get away with murder?
No, I am not inciting violence or creating this blog post so we can all plan a string of murders together. I am simply asking; what is the best way you have seen in text, TV, or in your own sick mind that seems to be the best possible way of getting away with murder.
Personally, I think Dexter Morgan from the TV Series Dexter is probably the most realistic and efficient killer I have seen. He targets murderers who have escaped justice, cuts them up, and dumps them into the ocean. So already, the missing persons reports of his victims will probably be pushed aside due to obvious re…Read more >
If I was to ask somebody; What is the best source of inspiration for writing a horror-themed short story, a majority of people would tell me to draw inspiration from books, other short stories, and even films. I understand that that many people have heeded this advie, as these are commonly labelled the best sources of inspiration.
Reading already existing works can do a number of things for an aspiring writer. Yes, it can motivate them, but it also has far worse consequences. It can also convince somebody that they are not good enough. I have seen many times where people (including myself) have read a story, or watched a film, and thought to themselves Well my story will never be as good as that'. I understand that not ever write…Read more >
