  • I am currently working on a story, and while I am going for realism, I also want more than 0.0001% of people to help give constructive criticism before and after I finish with the story.

    • Tavdogg11,

Post it in the Writer's Workshop on the forum here if you want constructive criticism.

    • NoSleep rules require every comment on a story to act as if the story were real. Therefore, they aren't allowed to give you constructive criticism. NoSleep audiences are also known to be pretty easy to please and a story getting high ratings on NoSleep is not necessarily a mark of good quality.

So like Bob said, your best bet for feedback is to post your draft on our workshop board.

Now it is true that NoSleep has an OOC subreddit of its own to workshop stories and get feedback, but still, the whole NoSleep community is not exactly known for its rigorous standards and eclectic mix of people who know what they are talking about in regards to plot mechanics and the like. Even the moderators of NoSleep have admitted that while it's an okay place to "cut your teeth" on writing creepypasta, it's not a great place if you really want to grow as a writer.

If you would have added that most stories there aren't very good (which is why I avoid redditpastas) you would have named everything wrong with nosleep.

I agree with everyone else, post it here on the Writer's Workshop.
