  • Hi everyone.  I recently posted my first narration on youtube and soundcloud.  I actively look for good pastas to post, but I'm more than open to taking submissions.  I write almost all of the accompanying music and try to make my narrations stand out.  You can find the first reading at https://youtu.be/iOPKlUhiBFc and https://soundcloud.com/abysmii/clever-by-provider92

    • Well, I have two pastas you might be interested in narrating>Historic Points of Interest--Ferrisville and The Silent Audience - A Historical Note

Both having to do with abandoned locations in California. Would you also like me to post these to your Facebook page?

Now, if you are ever feeling ambitious, I would love to see some of my longer ones get a readings, such as Secret Bar or For Love and Hot Chocolate.

      Hope you find these useful.

Thanks dude!  I'm still getting my audio engineering down and learning to be more comfortable with my voice, I hope to improve that with each video.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!  I'm goiing ot be out of town for four days, but I'm going to read all your suggestions and hopefully tackle them each soon.  Thanks for the support and interest.

I would like to narrate Secret Bar, but you're right, it's long and I need to work up to that.  Don't worry though, I'll get there.

    • Abysmii, you read my Seasonal Hunters a while back, and nailed it perfectly.

I submit a story that actually isn't my own. Banningk1979's For Love and Hot Chocolate

Or, if you are fine with decently large Creepypastas, Tobit: The Bleeding Sky

The Tobit series is fantastic. Either one would work, but it makes sense for the first to be submitted more.

    • Big thanks to Shawn for the promotion of my work, I really appreciate it. Either of those stories would make great Youtube reads!

And yes, the 3rd installment of the Tobit series is on its way, just been having a hard time finding the time to really sit down and finish it.

Thanks again for the support! Really appreciate it.

I'm just a bit insecure about the reactions I might get from the writers, copyright wise. I'm afraid I won't do the stories justice :P

However, I would also recommend nearly anything by the user WriterJosh. He has some great stories, such as Shut That Damned Door, My Grandfather Suffered from Dementia, and The Horseman in the Night.

Do it! Honestly, just getting a finished product out is a great reward.  It took me a while to get over the fear of negative reactions to my music, readings, etc.  But you just have to take the honest crticism as a learning experience, and the haters as fluff.  If you find you like doing readings, feel free to hit me up for collaborations!  They're a great way to stay creative and get exposure.

Pathfinder is akin to Dungeons and Dragons.  The channel I post my readings to (Apieropillar Productions) hosts a variety of content that I also contribute music, acting, and writing to.  I keep all the pastas on their own playlist so people who don't want to see the other content don't have to.  If you subsribed, you will see suggested content from the rest of the channel.  Watch it, or ignore it, no problem!

I have a lot of stories I want to read, but not every one is a fit, and I'm trying to read at least one story from each author before I start posting multiples from the more proliferate writers.  So, if I haven't got to yours or the story I read isn't the one you suggested, that's the reason why and I hope I don't offend.

Thanks again for the support, there is much to come!

Personally, I'd say the quality that really stands out about your videos is not just the actual reading and the sound effects, but the video editing. A lot of these readers, including the most popular ones, usually only show a few images on the screen while reading, but your readings always show images that are relevent to what is happening and coincide with changes in the story.

For example, the part in which the main character thinks that Charlie Rosen was in all of his memories was made much superior to, say, CreepsMcPasta's version, because of the fact that you went ahead and edited in (and out) the shadowy figure into the photos that the main character was describing. It adds that extra level of depth and detail that makes your readings stand out more than the average reading.

      Thanks and an Update!

First view! Nailed it! I really did love that you went through that, because after hearing TBFB reading, it inspired me to write more! Anyway, I won't be able to write as much as I'm being promoted to head admin on the Creepypasta for Kids Wiki, as said in this message. I am receiving rights when he gets back.

I am still planning to write, in fact I polished up another story recently, and am just waiting it for M4R to get taken off, as I fixed all the errors. It's called Kali Yuga, but I'm not surprised if you don't select this one. Although it would be easy, it's not my best work.

      Thanks for the update!

I know that some stories are too long and some of the criteria you mentioned wouldn't make the cut sounded like mine a bit. Please let me know if you can't read it, because there is another story I would love for you to narrate if you could! Thanks, Natalo.

Thank you for reading the story. I left a comment with my thoughts, which I have also left below:

"First, I'd like to thank you for even reading one of my stories. This is an interesting pick that (although maybe I am biased) I think worked very well with your style.

When you said you had fun with the images, you really meant it. The images on screen when you were describing the society were quite disturbing and gave more depth to the horrific nature of this society. I also really liked how you made the symbol look much cooler and creepier than I had in my original pasta, as well as the phone sequence at the end.

While this isn't my favorite story of mine, this reading really elevated it in quality, and I'm honored to have my story read so excellently."

(Forgot to mention that I love the thumbnail as well.)

I'd really like any of my stories to be narrated but my shortest one is Noises from Downstairs, if you'd like to give it a read and see if you could narrate it I'd be stoked! :) Of course, I'd love Nothing Turns... to get narrated more than the others, but I'd honestly be happy with anything. You're a great narrator :)

Hey dude, I read both the pastas you linked.  Unfortunately I won't narrate them in their current form.  They certainly have potential, but their structure and diction need work.  I found myself reconstructing the sentences and a lot of other corrections which leads me to be believe it wouldn't be a good read.  That being said, keep up your writing!  This is a process, and if you've made enough edits to where the stories are getting good feedback, I'll give them another read.  Thanks for the suggestions and keep at it.

Hi.  In the interest of consistency, please provide a link to the pasta.  A warning, if it isn't on the main pastas there's a chance I won't read it as I need stories that have gone through the community-feedback process on sites such as the official wikia.  Thanks.

I read your story and posted some criticisms, I'll repost them here just in case it gets taken down.

Hey dude, I read this one as you requested that I narrate it.  In it's current form I won't narrate the story.  But, I've listed the reasons and criticisms below to help you get it on the right track.

      1.  Freddy's descent into madness is incredibly abrupt.  In the span of what feels like seconds he goes from a kid udnergoing a tragic accident to a serial killer.  If he had been recovered, sent to the hospotal, had some failed plastic surgery, and then went crazy from all the stress and trauma, then it would be more believeable that he went crazy after all that.  You could throw some supernatural condition that made him go crazy as well, but it just happens too quick.

      2. The killings are creepy, but they also happen without any remorse.  This isn't a bad thing per se, but they read as a sort of slasher fiction.  You could add some reason as to why he's murdering his family, otherwise it just feels like gore for the sake of gore.  Why is he killing?  What is driving him?

      3. You might consider changing the chronology of the story.  I won't tell you how to write it, but here's an example.  Start with the murders:  Freddy has snuck into the house and is plotting to kill the family.  Each encounter he has with a family member triggers a memory Frederick had before he became Freddy (the accident, the hospital, the therapy, the madness, etc.), by the end of the story he comes to his room to kill Frederick in his bedroom, only to realize that it was him all along, or he sees something with Frederick's name on it.  Again, you don't have to do what I just described, but they way the story is written now isn't all that creepy, mostly because the transofrmation is instant and then the killings follow for no believeable reason.

I encourage you to take a another stab (pun intended) at this story.  Maybe repost it under a different name as well so there aren't any potential spoilers.  Let me know if you rework it significantly and I'll give it a nother read.  Best of luck!

I think that what you are doing is a great idea. It's a great way for both you and the authors to get experience and exposure. I just think that it's the perfect relationship. I'm glad that you go out of your way to look through and post some of the more obscure pastas.

I currently have seven pastas up on the wiki and one in the workshop, but there is one in particular that I think you'd be able to put to good use and I'd really appreciate it if you gave it a glance.

The name of the pasta is Boulder City Prison. I think it'd take about five minutes to narrate (I took the total word count and divided by 140) although the editing is the lengthy and hard part.

I feel like it would offer something unique to your channel, because it is one of three pastas that I've read that is set in a prison and it has quite the ending. I know that a reading from you would benefit the pasta for sure.

If you like it and want more then feel free to give me a shout. Thank you for your time :)

You are very, very busy with requests as I can tell, but I have had one that I think may interest you. You can find the link below. The story itself isn't very long, so that is a plus.

I don't mind how long it takes for you to get to it. Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Hey Grim.  Thanks for the support, I've been working hard and trying to get my work out there.  The comments and shares you provide help a lot.  I quite like the story!  I think I can get it out soon as it won't be too much work for my editor.  Stay tuned.

    • It hasn't been deleted, it's been moved to I Am Crystal Meth. Also, SoPre isn't an admin, he's a rollbacker, and therefore cannot guarantee that a pasta won't be deleted. In fact, stories can be deleted at any time, and no user, no matter what user rights they hold, can guarantee a page's security.

I really want people to pay attention to The Stranger's Debt by Vincent V. Cava. It is rather short, and I'm sure a reading could help get some attention to it.

Just wanted to say, that video is way different than the story, not very suitable to call it a narration when it's someone else's work slightly modified with their name on it.

Firstly, thank you for the suggestions, I'm going to read through them all.

I'm a bit confused by what you're saying in regards to my video. A narration is simply a reading of a story. The video has pictures to illuminate my interpretation of what is going as a visual aid, but I don't see how that disqualifies this as a narration. Anyone reading a story is slightly modifying the original story with the author's name on it, so would that not disqualify every creepypasta reading on youtube?

        Loading editor
    • The reading is rearranged just so, that it reminds me of another piece of work entirely made up of someone else's ideas. A "narration" should match the story. I've seen narrations with a word out of place here-and-there, but not with whole sentences out of place, with added phrases that aren't in the story. Just my two-cents.

Now I see where the confusion lies. I asked Cava's editor for permission to read the version that was linked to the wikia. Cava wanted me to read the official version found at: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/531059, which is more complete. Hope that clears everything up.
