This was an edited version of my Postal 2: A Dream's Demise, which was taken off for being cliche. If there is anything wrong with this one, please tell me, and I am sure to fix it! :) I am going to change the story's title of the original story (if it is accepted, by the way), and a lot of the details from the original story.
Hey, I just wanted to account you about a dreaded moment that I had in a game, and it still haunts me to this very age, and averagely I do not like to talk about it too much, but you advantageous readers deserve to comprehend.
My two cousins, my sister and I am getting this game on Steam called Postal 2, which is this really antagonistic game due to its aggressive remarks, but it is a really fun game to play. We all got in a multiplayer server together, in which one of my cousins plugged in one of their laptops in to the TV, and I have you know that the TV, due to age, formed hundreds of these "white dots" on the screen, which I believe it is that the pixels are "dead", but you can still see out of the screen.
As anyone would act on a game like Postal 2, we all were peeing on people, setting people on fire, killing Gary Coleman, you name it. We also did a few missions all along our gameplay. After a while, we desired to cause more adversity in the game, so we went into this field, that was accompanied by a few civilians and houses here and there, with a very tall building sitting at the right side, which is average. But something did not feel right; in big places like this, there are usually cops, but there weren't any, and none of the civilians conversed, which we found this to be a little strange.
As we went up to interact with one civilian, every last one civilian reacted, and ran into this hill, in which they all disappeared for some odd reason, which I thought that it could have been a glitch, but why would every last civilian run in a definite alp in the map and disappear? At this point, we were all in a state of amorphousness.
After they all disappeared into the hill, something even more confusing happened; a flood of twenty, if not, thirty TF2 Soldiers randomly came swarming out the door from the tall building in a huge group, armed with rocket launchers, and ready to kill us. We were flipping out at this point, because there were no mods that we could have used, there were no Easter eggs or anything. "What the living heck is going on right now"!? I thought to myself.
The battle, by the way was EXTREMELY HARD to fight in, especially if there were four people fighting them off, because they were shooting a swarm of rockets at us, which was not helping. They strife back and forth, so we did not have to worry about them coming at us.
This is when crap hits the fan; after we killed all the TF2 Soldiers, this picture popped up:
...
......
.........
No animation, no music, no sound, just a smile. When we all saw this, we were startled by this image. It gave me an uncomfortable feeling as it seemed like it was staring at you through the screen. It also gave me a feeling that something evil was about to happen, or it was warning us of something. Just by looking at it, my heart sank into anxiety, a chill ran down my spine, and my blood ran cold. When this popped up, all the "white dots" on the TV screen was all gone, which made it a hundred times worse, and just made things more unsettling.
As fifteen seconds passed, the house's electricity shut down, excluding the TV, and four laptops, so there were no noises from generators running, or anything. It is that moment of when there is a really bad storm, and the power goes out, you get this awkward silence from the electricity not running. The same thing happened here, but I was looking at a grim image on the TV. It was nighttime outside, so that also added to it.
As five more seconds passed, we all heard of what sounded like demon moaning sounds playing in reverse, which was very creepy when I was also looking at this image at the same time.
We were all terrified by the image and the sound bit that it was playing, but ten seconds later....
This picture came up. As this popped up, we flew back on our seats, and my heart leaped immensely, because it made a static, high pitched, loud screech, which it also cranked up the volume up to max on all our laptops and on the TV automatically, which was very unforgiving, but you were able to crank the volume down, by the way. It might have been that it was trying to make the pop up more successful. Imagining having a really huge and expensive surround sound system that was cranked to max, along with the device it was plugged into. That is about how loud it was. The sound was so loud and immense, that it even vibrated the floor! This pop up went on for ten seconds, and the game crashed.
After that, we all force closed the program. It was somewhat hard for me to, because my hands were drastically sweaty and shaky. When we all closed the program, the dots appeared on the screen again, and the power in the house turned back on.
At this point, I was confused and terrified at the same time. This could not have been anything ordinary, or anything along the lines of a mod or something. But to this day, I have absolutely no idea of what it meant, and I have no desire to. This took a lot of time to let this all sink in.
