This story has been passed down from generation to generation in my family. It tells the tale of the horrifying creature only known as "The Wisp".

This creature was known to be very quick to finish its victims. It has been described as a horrifying woman, she is never without her blood stained shirt, and the blood-curdling scream you hear right before you die.

Most people die from a slit throat, or if not by that gruesome method, she uses a bigger blade to cut the stomach, and if both of those techniques do not please her, she will take her biggest blade and cut the victim in half.

Why she kills, nobody has ever figured out. It is stated that she does this to the army that burned down her little town, others say she kills only men after her woman lover was killed for adultery, and the last story is the most interesting she is said to be the wife of William Wallace and she seeks revenge on all the ancestors of the army who burned down her town.

They say you see her in your dreams the night before you die at times. I saw her the night before in my dreams, I saw her long flowing hair dash past me, and that's when I heard the scream, a sharp pain ran though my neck. I awoke with a scream with the pain in my neck still there. I just wanted to share this with you before she finds me.
