Ever since I was young, I was always terrified of the shower. Whenever it turned on, it let out a high pitched, ear grating howl that never ceased until it was turned off again. I told my mom about the screaming the shower would make and she said it was normal, and not to worry.
"All kids are afraid of the shower sometime or another," she had said.
This didn't help at first, but over the years I got more and more used to it. I found if I wore earplugs while I bathed the screaming didn't bother me as much.
Now that I'm older, the screaming of the shower doesn't bother me at all. I'm still not very comfortable bathing though. I just wish it would stop staring at me.
