No, I thought the same thing at first, since it kind of related, but I edited it a bit to change it before I wrote it. That was a great story though!

I based it off a poem I recently read actually. I was sitting here, putting off typing the one I wrote earlier in school, and I thought "I wanna write something dark, not so much creepy." Then I thought about it while I was writing and thought of how similar it was to yours, so I edited and cut some parts out. Wasn't trying to make a remake of yours, I actually tried to avoid it, but the topic doesn't exactly have the widest variety. I was gonna do another relative too, because, again, I wanted to avoid it being like yours, but father was the only one that fit in my mind.

The biggest difference I feel, is the age of the son, in mine I pictured him as a pre-teen, between 10 and 12, and the setting is what you wanna make of it, I picture a rural area. If it makes you upset I can take it down, I just wanted to make a quick, short story.
