Special AnnouncementsEdit

Rules were last updated: April 17th, 2011

Cleric's birthday? June 3rd. Beware.

A few reminders about this siteEdit

  • Please contribute as much and as often as you want. Any help is welcomed, but please contribute QUALITY material. Spam pages will be deleted and you will be banned.
  • Don't create wikidrama.
  • Pointsgaming (that is posting solely for the achievements) is discouraged, however if it it a valuable contribution go ahead, earn some points. This includes, but is not limited to adding several unneeded, made-up, or previously non-existent categories to pages.
  • Don't add categories that don't already exist/are not on the Genre Listing.
  • Don't troll the users, if you're going to troll make it into a pasta and add it to the Horrible Troll Pasta category.
  • Creating a spam page is a week ban. No warnings, no appeals, no exceptions, no excuses.
  • OC is valuable, please contribute as much as you may have. Quality over quantity, though.
  • You MUST add any pages you create to the Article Listing page. Failure to do so will result in an automatic blocking of your account each you neglect to update the Listing.

Penalties for rules violations: Edit

  • First offense of wikidrama/trolling is a warning on your profile page.
  • Second offense: One week ban
  • Third offense: Permab&

Penalties for defacing a page Edit

  • First offense: One week ban
  • Second offense: Permab&

See the listing of site rules for more information, or contact any of this site's admins with any questions, comments, or suggestions you may have.

Chat Rules Edit

  • 1) Same rules apply in chat as they do on the site (No drama, trolling, etc.).
  • 2) No spamming.
  • 3) This is a wiki devoted to horror/the paranormal. Please keep your topics centered around such things.
  • 4) If it doesn't belong on the site, it doesn't belong in chat.
  • 5) See the people with stars by their name? Don't piss them off. They're admin/chatmods.
  • 6) Chat boring? Moving too slowly? No one talking? That's not a free pass to start spamming to get people to talk.
  • 7) Want to get chat moving? There are 1,000+ pastas on this site. Surely you can find something to discuss.
  • 8) Want to talk to a certain user? Like, in private? Click their name and select Private Message. NOTE: Private messages are unmoderated. If a user is being abusive, click their AVATAR and select BLOCK PRIVATE MESSAGES. Do NOT bring private message issues into the main chat area. PM a mod and/or block the user from sending you further PMs.
  • 9) Want to talk all off-topic like? Private message someone to do so.
  • 10) There is only one chat, and no more rooms can be made at this time. Please keep that in mind when chatting.
  • 11) Do not spam emoticons for ANY REASON. There's no need to test emotes. Go check out MediaWiki:Emoticons for a list of emotes. There's also no need to post two or more in a row. No, not even (stop) (ban). If you are going to post two emotes together, put a space between the two like I did.
  • 12) When a chatmod/admin asks you to stop doing something in chat, STOP DOING IT. You will be kicked the second time you disobey their request.
  • 13) If you do "test" emoticons, you will be kindly asked the first time to not test. Failing that, you will be demanded a second time to stop. Spamming emoticons a third time will result in you not being able to chat for 3-5 days. Emoticons are an interesting addition to chat but cause server strain at high volumes. Spamming emotes crashes chat globally, and not just on this particular one.

PenaltiesEdit

  • First violation: Kickban from chat for a day or so.
  • Second violation: Kickban until we feel like it. Seriously you should have learned.
  • Third violation: Kickban permanently and site ban.

Remember, all penalties are subject to the admin's/chatmod's discretion. If you kick someone, please leave a message on their talk page with the kickban message, an explanation, and your signature WITH TIMESTAMP. There are no kick logs currently.

If you wish to appeal a kick, leave a message on the talkpage of the person that kicked you or an admin in chat.
