Tasha was excited.
It was her first day of animal day camp at the zoo. Her love for animals was greater than her love for her own parents. She could just scream.
"Oh no!" she cried. She had just realized that her group was way ahead of her. She quickly caught up with them.
The counselor soon halted the group. Tasha instantly froze with a smile. This meant that her counselor was going to announce the next animals they were going to meet. She hoped that they would be the elephants or the tigers.
But it wasn't. In fact, it was the one animal she did not want to see. SNAKES!
Tasha was about to run right away. She hated snakes more than anything! In fact, she would rather die than to have to touch a snake.
However, she couldn't leave her group, so she shut her eyes tightly as they entered the room with the snake tanks.
"Wha-?" she heard her counselor shout. She opened her eyes just a peek and what she saw made her have mixed feelings of both fear and relief.
There were big holes in all of the snake tanks, and none of the snakes were present inside.
The children were quickly evacuated from the zoo, as some of the snakes were extremely dangerous.
Tasha let out a sigh of relief. She was glad to be out of there. But then she realized something that paralyzed her with fear. Those snakes could be just about anywhere! What if they were following her?
For the rest of the night, Tasha remained extra cautious. She had to make sure the snakes weren't coming for her.
She soon convinced herself that all the snakes had been caught, as she never saw a snake in sight for the rest of the evening.
9:00pm. It was her bedtime. She was relieved that the day was finally over, as she was really tired.
She hopped into bed and tucked herself in. That's when she realized something was wrong.
From her feet to her chest, she felt long, scaly bodies crawling up and down her body.
