A group of fighter jets are on a mission to bomb enemy jets out of the sky. They hover around in wait for the arrivals, and soon a pilot suddenly sees some members of the enemy nearby. He estimates the coordinates of their location using his radar and enters them into a GPS navigation unit, ready to relay them to a B-52 bomber at “fire”, when the device’s battery unexpectedly dies. After spending a few moments fumbling around the front compartment and opening packaging, he replaces the battery and finally sends the location.
What he momentarily overlooked was that the GPS device had been restarted, and thus the coordinates had also been reset to default.
