Please believe me when I say that this is 100% true. If you don't, then so be it.
My friend Miguel introduced me to the strange world and legend of Slenderman. I still remember thinking of it as a simple 'legend or 'hoax'. We always talked about him from time to time, because after the day I finally heard of him, I immediately researched it down to the core of any possible information I could find. Not very much was there to read, but almost enough to make me believe.
I couldn't my help but wonder, where is this thing? It seemed strange to me that, no matter how much I tried to forget about the existence of him, the more I thought of him. Me and Miguel sometimes sat down and began talking about him, first thing in the morning. It puzzled me, every detail, and aspect he knew. I couldn't pretend I wasn't interested, for i knew damn well I was.
The things that he told were very informative, as if he too studied as much as I did. He said that any electronic device, scrambles, or goes all haywire around Slenderman. This I was certain of, for almost every day, Miguel called me just to see what I was up to, or if he was bored. Those phone calls lasted for about thirty minutes or so. Anyways, after the third minute of every call, I would hear static, mixed in with a loud screeching noise. It hurt to listen to and I always complained about it.
He never heard it, only I was able to hear on my end of the line. Until one day before the incident, he claimed he heard the same noise, from my end, but I heard nothing except his voice. I was kind of startled at this happening, but shrugged it off.
I still remember this incident, for it haunts me. I was walking to my neighborhood park, to get away from home (and my Xbox, I've played the hell out of that thing). As I was walking, I was having a harmless, little conversation with my girlfriend of one month, over the phone. I finally made it to my park and I walked up the hill to the gazebo closest to me.
This gazebo overlooked the entire park, it was in plain view, so I was safe. After a good forty minutes at that gazebo, I left because my legs were asleep and a bat flew out the damn thing and scared me senseless. I walked into the back part of my park, which was more tree filled and almost a forest type area. I made my place at another gazebo and continued on with my conversation.
Something later caught my eye, it almost looked like a beat-up, old car just lying there. An elderly man passed by and saw me standing trying to get a better view, he then asked what it was I was looking at. I pointed and we both followed a small trail towards only to find out that it was an old, thrown out stove. I laughed at this, because I got my hopes up for a little 'mystery', but in return I got a stove.
I was right about to return to my phone call when I felt the sudden sensation of being watched. I put my phone to my ear and tried to ignore it, when my girlfriend complained about hearing a noise from my phone. I stared blankly at my phone and slowly looked up. Leaning over a bush, with his head cocked directly at me. I tried to make out facial features, but there were none. I slowly sat up from the bench. He slowly lifted his head up in unison. I took a step back. His head twitched violently. Then Before I knew I was running home.
I couldn't sleep that night, knowing that he was there. I couldn't believe any of it. It was all too strange, too frightening for me. I wish I never saw him, because now to this very day, my friend Miguel always complains about hearing a horrible noise coming from my phone.
