Halloween. A time for treats, costumes, and lighthearted festivities. However, if you so choose, you may take advantage of this sacred night to contact... Him.

First, you will need a candle, a mirror, a small bit of gold (I.E jewelry), and a pinch of salt. Make sure you are alone and turn off all lights and sources of sound, such as TVs or phones. This must start at 9:00. Sit in the middle of a fairly open room and light the candle. Place the lit candle in front of you and take the mirror and salt.

Lay the mirror flat on the ground and sprinkle the salt on it. Look down at the mirror by the candlelight. If you see a lightly translucent, shadowy figure behind you when you look into the mirror, DO NOT turn around or make any noise or indication that you know it is there. Smash the mirror and scatter the shards everywhere.

Take a shard of glass, your candle, and the bit of gold and walk out of the room. Here’s where the real fun begins. Use the shard of glass to look behind your shoulder and keep the candle and gold in front of you. If you see the same shadowy figure behind you from earlier, start running. Do not take your eyes off this shard of glass. If you do for only a few seconds, I cannot guarantee you will be alive come morning.

Just keep walking around for about half an hour then proceed to the lowest point in your home (If you do not have such a place like a basement or cellar, proceed to the largest mirror). Now, hold out the gold and your candle and drop the glass shard at your feet. Declare the following: “I have evaded you for this long now, for you have been merciful enough to allow me to do so!” Blow out the candle and close your eyes, but keep the gold extended out. Say this next: “As payment, receive this offering of gold.” Drop the gold at your feet, keep your eyes closed. If you feel a cold, heavy force on your forehead, open your eyes. He will be before you. You may ask Him one thing, anything at all. He will tap your forehead once more, and it will be known. Sleep in the exact spot you stand and don’t open your eyes till dawn.

Congratulations, you have survived the encounter with Him. I advise you to not try it again... ever.
