I dreamt about him again last night. Night after night I find my sleep disturbed by the same nightmare: I glance out of the window as I drift off, and there he is, every time without fail. Smiling, laughing... Just generally being creepy. Only last night was different. There was something odd about it. It may have been that I saw his face clearly. There were dark bags under his eyes, like he hadn't slept in days. His hair was a faded blond colour, and it looked like he hadn't combed it in days. He was pale, deathly pale, like... Like nothing I'd ever seen before. When I woke up, I was petrified. That was something else unusual; after the first few I usually wasn't affected at all. Sometimes it was quite funny, imaging what the silhouette could actually be. I'm sure some physics work will take my mind off of it...

I remembered something else. The human brain is incapable of creating faces; I.e. Everybody you see in a dream is someone you've seen in real life. Sometimes, if you don't know somebody's face, you see a different person. The funny part is you know who it is, even if they are totally different. The downside is, I must have seen this guy before. Somewhere, even if it was just a glimpse of him. I had anorher nightmare last night. He didn't smile, or laugh, he just glared at me. Once, he even opened his mouth to talk. Something was up with him. I don't know what, though...

He spoke. A chilling, deep, suppressed sound, but I know what he said; at least, I knew what he said in my dreams. I'm sure it was something about who he really was. Strangely, this is the first time I've forgotten something that happened in one of these dreams. In comparison, I couldn't remember my girlfriend's birthday. Or a single word of the multiple lectures I'd attended at university. I know one thing though: I'm getting closer to the truth.

I know what he said. A single word, repeated over and over again. "Look. Look. Look." When it came to an abrupt end, and I entered reality (or what I thought was reality, at least), I immediately glanced around the room. Nothing obvious was there, until I saw it. Standing, looking me straight in the eyes, but not through a window. Through a mirror. There were dark bags under his eyes, like he hadn't slept in days. His hair was a faded blond colour, and it looked like he hadn't combed it in days. He was pale, deathly pale, like... Like nothing I'd ever seen before.

Bloody hell. No wonder my girlfriend dumped me.
