It was a normal day. It's always a normal day when things like this happen. Like God saying, 'no, it's just like every other day,' but then tragedy strikes, and you wish the weather matched your mood or that rain would carry the blood away...

I woke up, got dressed, and went to school. Nothing much happened there, a couple of supposed fights (I was never near enough to see one in action. They probably didn't exist at my school. School was normal. That's it. But then I got home. I did my homework, and pulled out my DS. Started playing Platinum. But suddenly there was a huge explosion at the side of my bed. I looked about anxiously, and saw something on my dresser. My heart skipped a beat. It was an old Gameboy advanced Game Pak. Leaf Green, specifically. I put it in my DS, not hoping to see my character's name, but there it was. In the top box it said 'Chris,' just what my name always was.

I pressed the button, and looked ecstatically at my team. It was just a couple of my lower level Pokémon, but then I went to Pewter and found them. Two Pokémon whom I had loved, and had been left behind. My Pidgeot, Hi-fly (I was and am horrible at naming) and Dragonite Drake. I immediately saved and turned off, and got ready to migrate. I started up Platinum, and selected the wanted Pokémon. An error message appeared. "The Pokemon don't want to leave."

What?

"The Pokemon you selected are refusing to leave Kanto."

How in the...

"They're still waiting for you."

This isn't right...

"Why did you leave for so long?"

Oh F-

"It's rude to say things like that. Answer the question."

A picture of Drake appeared, taking over the entire screen.

He didn't look happy.

"Chris... I thought of you as a friend. I thought... I thought you cared about me. About all of us!"

I shook my head, disbelieving.

"Did you really?"

"Yes!!!" I shouted

The Dragonite on screen shook his head. "Then why didn't you look for us? You'd forgotten us, hadn't you?"

"NO!!! Drake, I..."

"ENOUGH!!!"

Drake lifted his arm. He touched a small button, and suddenly, he was in my room. A Dragonite, in all its Pokémon glory.

"Drake!!!"

"Don't look so happy! I'm not someone you should be glad to see."

"What?"

"You neglected us. Shoved us into a corner of your mind. What about Christian and Mew? Your Blastoise and Mewtwo. You still have them. Why couldn't we have gone with them?"

I shook my head, sobbing now. "Drake? Wh-why are you so angry with me? I couldn't help it! The game pak... I couldn't find it and..."

Drake's claws glowed, and he slashed me across the chest with Dragon Claw. The attack I had never taught him. I had wanted to, but I couldn't find the TM. Somehow, Drake had learned it himself. I looked back at the game, and saw something. It was a battle scene. On one side stood a Dragonite, who looked like a regular Platinum Dragonite, but his eyes were angrier, with a definite killer's instinct in them. His information bar said "Drake the forgotten" and his level was infinite. On the other side sat a Pokémon named "Chris" Lvl 16. I looked at the picture. The 'Chris' was in fetal position, covering his eyes.

I looked up at Drake, and saw it. The Killer's instinct. I ran from the room, and went outside. I started running faster, but no matter how fast I ran, the wingbeats grew louder, coming closer. I couldn't see it, but on the DS' screen, the words "can't escape!" came up. Then, "Dragonite used Hyper Beam!" I turned to Drake, and as the beam came in, I smiled. I knew it was over.

"I'm sorry Drake. So sorry..."

He smiled as the attack finished me.

Suddenly I was in a dark room. Certain I was dead, I just walked around. What else to do? But Leaf Green wasn't finished with me.

"Look at me!"

I turned, and saw Hi-fly.

"We conquered so much together Chris. Why didn't you search longer?" I shook my head, uncertain what to say.

She came in closer. She lifted her talons. "You never said much anyways..." She began slashing me, again and again. My blood spattered the floor.

I turned, and saw Christian and Mew. They laughed. "You left our friends behind!!!"

Mew frowned. "Why didn't you leave us too. We waited so long for them to come, but you never found them. Why?"

I was attacked, from all sides.

I wish it would rain...
