This is a true story about a potential abduction I experienced as a child.
So, before you read this, I think you should know this isn't some creepypasta. This is a true story. About my life. This didn't happen in the middle of nowhere or in some discrete park. This happened in a very nice suburb of a major city. By no means somewhere remote. Anyways, this is my story.
I remember being young and Innocent. I was about 9 years old at the time that this took place. It was about 8Pm, and I really didn’t feel like going to bed. I’d just gotten super Mario sunshine but I had school the next morning and if I didn’t go to bed immediately, I knew that my mom would take my privileges away for the next day. I decided I shouldn’t test my luck and I brushed my teeth and went to bed. Next to me, my dog scotty was curled up. He passed out immediately, snoring and breathing on me. It was always comforting to me to have him next to me, I knew that if anything came into my room, he’d wake me up. At least that’s what I thought. Anyways, it didn’t take long for me to fall asleep either. Before I knew it I passed out too. Such was the life of a child, you’re always playing hard until you fall asleep.
The next thing I knew; I was rudely awoken by a noise. A really weird “humming” noise. To this day, I can’t place exactly what that nosie was, but in my head it’s still apparent. Picture someone humming a song, but in a way that’s so fine tuned and accurate that it sounds like an instrument. Then picture an aircraft making that sound. That’s what I heard.
I opened my eyes. The noise didn’t necessarily startle me, but it made me curious. This curiosity was spurred on even further when I looked toward my window and saw that our front spotlights were out. That was weird. My dad had them set up so that they were on all night. Maybe they burnt out? No way. He replaced one of the bulbs more recently so they wouldn’t have gone out at the same time.
Walking over to the side of my room I tried the outlets. The power was on. Now things were getting uncomfortable. I walked up to my bedroom window, and that’s when everything went haywire. Looking down towards my yard, I saw a dog walking around. Now that was strange but nothing out of the ordinary. It seemed as if a stray dog had wandered into my yard and was sniffing around.
Then, it stopped, looked directly up at me, and kept staring. This was starting to scare me now. How did it see me? There were no lights in the entire house or even in my yard that were on. But it was staring straight at me. Then, remembering the humming, I looked up, only to see a shimmer, or a refraction of the moons lights against something and a red light over my house and above the trees. It was a large, metallic looking object above my house.
Then, the last thing I remember, I saw a flash. After that, the next thing I remember is waking up the next morning.
It doesn’t end there though. At school the next day, I found a large scar on my hand that I have to this day. A scar that runs completely along my right thumb.
I never again had such a vivid and strange experience in the middle of the night, but I know that the scar on my hand and the events that transpired that night can’t all be coincidence. Since then, I’ve heard the humming maybe 3 or 4 times, but never, ever, experienced anything else before.
What happened that night? Where did that scar come from? I like to think I’m a man of science, but sometimes I wonder… was I abducted by aliens?
